Although the first day of Spring was one week ago, it appears that Mother Nature
hasn't gotten the memo! I'm so over wearing any of my heavy winter coats and jackets, but with temperatures only reaching about 50 degrees, I just don't have any choice but to wear it. Today, I decided not to wear a coat and suck it up because I wanted to look as Spring-like as possible, despite the cold temperatures. But it was

On a brighter note, I'm so happy that Pantone's color of the year is
, since green is my favorite color! When I found this skirt at J.Crew, I was so desperate to have it in my closet, I bought it even though it was four sizes too big for me! No biggie though, I just took it to my tailor and they altered it so that it fit me perfectly. As a petite woman, (actually, this applies to all women--petite, tall, curvy, not so curvy, etc.), I cannot stress the importance of having a good tailor! It's a guaranteed way to make you look like a million bucks, no matter the cost of the item. How do you think celebrities look good in everything they wear? It's because what they wear has most likely been tailored! Fortunately, I bought the skirt on clearance, and it didn't cost much to alter it, so it still came out to be much less than what it costed originally.
