The Best Weirdest Thing I Ever Ate

Two days ago, I went to go work out. My Zumba class. The class that every now and then gives me an unexpected kind of pleasure when I wear the wrong underwear. But please, let's not get into that right now. That day, I was thinking about something else. Or maybe hallucinating. I swear, as we were moving our hips and shaking our booties and shimmying to the beat, I could smell something. ICE CREAM. For the last 20 minutes of Zumba, the only thought that consumed my mind was going to Molly Moon's and getting a big scoop of ice cream. So, at the end of class, it was settled. Tonight was ice cream night.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one craving ice cream. As soon as my roommate, Allison, got done with her meeting on campus, I picked her up and we immediately headed over to Molly Moon's. The first thing I saw on their menu was "Sweet Basil". Sweet basil ice cream?! The only part that made sense was the "sweet". But because I am a food adventurist, I just had to try it. And oh my God, it was amazing! Sweet, yes. But not too sweet. Basil, yes. But not too basil-y. It was surprisingly very refreshing, yet very creamy. Just what I needed after a hard work out. And who could forget the waffle cone? Molly Moon's ice cream is simply not ice cream if you don't eat it with the waffle cone. I tried to be extra careful not to make any crumbs, but you know, I'm not perfect...I just had to implement the five-second rule a few times that night. (I promise, I'm really not a disgusting person.)

But the best part besides eating the ice cream...we left Molly Moon's smelling like waffle cones, which is, in my opinion, one of the best smells in the world. I guess eating ice cream has its own reward.
